Just wondering if anyone else has had problems with ordering things on 1-day.co.nz, paying for the product, and then not having the order fulfilled. I purchased a product a few days ago, paid by credit card, and today I was emailed to say that they had made an error on their website, and they now can't supply it to me. This is despite them having an automated stock management facility on the website, that knows exactly how many products they have available and how many have been allocated and ordered.
All they offered was a credit back onto my credit card for the purchase price. As the order was for two different products, it now means I am only purchasing a single product, which makes the shipping proportionally more expensive on that single product. I would have infact purchased another product instead, if I knew that that other product wasn't available, to make it up to two.
They didn't even offer me a similar product or order one in, even though they do sell other equivalent products via their main website.
Anyone know my rights over this? Do they have to fulfill the sale and purchase contract, by either providing me with the product or an alternative. I thought if they wanted to break the purchase and sale contract, that both parties had to agree to the cancellation.
