    Default Network problems

    At my work we have a very fast cable connection. But i have tried many times to get Napster to work and now WinMX. There is a firewall and I can't get either of these programes to load. Could someone help me!!!!!!

    Hi KP,

    The firewall at your work is likely to be blocking the port napster operates on. Fortunatly napster can run through a Socks proxy. To browse the web port 80 is open on the firewall. You can use a gadget called socks2http to run a local socks proxy, which you can point napster at. It will then operate through the firewall.

    I downloaded the programe and installed it but can't seem to get it going. I don't know weather to have a socks 4 or 5 proxy and all of the other settings that should be selected.
