    Default Old P4 getting an upgrade.

    Time for my old spare PC got an upgrade. My Daughter's PC
    Currently Intel 3.4Gb P4 with 4Gb Ram, Icute Case, 3 HDD's.

    Upgrading to the following.
    Gigabyte X48T-DQ6 ATX LGA775 Motherboard (New)
    Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz (New)
    Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro (New)
    Gigabyte nVidia Geforce 9800GT 1Gb DDR3 PCI-E (New)
    SEAGATE Barracuda ES 7200.2 SATA 250GB (New)
    2 x Seagate AS 120Gb Sata drives (in current PC)
    Corsair PC3-10666 DDR3-1333 2GB (From other PC)
    Icute 0408SL-SS,12cm Blue fan,450W PSU (Using this case from a current PC)
    22" Wide screen Viewsonic monitor (in current PC)
    Pioneer DVR111D DL Burner (in current PC)

    Should work fine with XP Pro.

    Wife uses that PC for email and a little bit of web browsing. Daughter does a lot of homework on it, plus a lot of stuff in Photoshop. She does a few games but not high end action ones.

    The old P4 is ok I might find a use for it.

    The case does not have a lot of cooling, but the CPU cooler might be enough for overclocking it a bit, but it probably does not need it.

    The components should also allow me to install Leopard on it as dual boot.

    My own PC the one in my Sig works fine as is.
