Windows clock wont sync?

I am trying to download windows updates and also "scrobble" music with a social networking app called last.fm, and both of them are saying that my time/timezone is not correct. Yet when I look it is to me.

The year is wrong its 2009 not 2008

Happens to the best of us.

I've been known to spend 10 mins trying to figure out why windows won't activate after a reinstall, and then realise I didn't set the clock right.

Spent 20mins wondering why my wireless keyboard wouldn't work, downloaded drivers, did installs and uninstalls, ..... later realised I forgot to put in the batteries

You can't have it set to automatically update the time or this would not have happened.

The point of using a NTP server is so these slip-ups don't occur and you never have to worry about it again.
