Fire Fox add-on's update

My browser is firefox (FF) in Win xp. Trouble is every time I open FF, it opens the "add on updates" asking if i want to check for any Add On Updates. I have opened "options, Update, and unchecked the "installed add on's update Box". It's getting annoying. Help please....

just install the updates, they're there for a reason(to update)

Check your Firefox 'advanced, updates', settings. I think you have still got boxes ticked.

Better option is; tick the automatic update option, as others have recommended. Stuff ups caused by their updates are pretty rare.
