Well NZ has got John Key as Prime Minister - he and his crowd can't be worse than Helengrad and most probably will be better.
The point is:
Oppositions don't win elections - Governments lose elections - for this to happen the electors have to be fed up with the government plus is a need for a credible opposition with an acceptable policy, that is not extreme and has a resemblance to credibility, with a high possibility that the opposition if elected will implement most of it.
Finally all these factors have come together in NZ - its just a bloody shame the country had to endure Clark Cullen et al for 9 years.
