    Do you have OneNote 2003/2007?

If you do it comes with a screen clipping tool.

There's a Firefox addon called Fireshot, but it's limited to web captures only, so not as user-friendly as SnagIt....

Try Freez Screen Video Capture - middle one on the left - look at " how to use" Simply have a look at the settings and select Record, drag the box around the area and it will record - but in video format. If you want a straight screen shot capture, or section of a screen - I use Ashampoo Magical Snap2 But there are many others about that do the same thing.

Get Vista - the screen capture "Snipping Tool" is part of the package.

What is wrong with Ctrl-PrintScreen etc. I forget the exact key codes as I have been using Linux for a couple of years or more but using a combination of PrintScreen and other keys you can get the dialog box,Window or complete screen in the clipboard ready to paste into Paint or whatever.
