    Default Redirect Virus

Hi guys I think I have a virus that redirects me to sites I don't want to go to. It always happens when I click a link from a google search. It also has made my computer slower and web pages not appear properly (this page at the moment is not really displaying) Here is my logfile. I would appreciate it if someone could look through it and tell me what I should do. Thanks again.

    Welcome to PF1 -

From my sig download malwarebytes, Spyware terminator, Spybot S&D, install and update/run in full scan mode - let them remove any infections they find. Also get Ccleaner, install and run to clean out the junk/temp files.

From the Hijack Log, tick and remove the following:

    O4 - HKUS\S-1-5-18\..\Run: [brastk] C:\WINDOWS\system32\brastk.exe (User 'SYSTEM')

    O4 - HKUS\.DEFAULT\..\Run: [brastk] C:\WINDOWS\system32\brastk.exe (User 'Default user')

I would disable system restore as well

You can also tick these then tick fix checked

    Close browsers

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SunJavaUpdateSched] "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_05\bin\jusched.exe"

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTTask.exe" -atboottime

    O4 - Global Startup: Microsoft Find Fast.lnk = C:\Program Files\MS Office 97 - Prof - SR2 - I2008.02.02\Office\FINDFAST.EXE

Then uninstall all versions of Java, yours is out date. Then update it

Awesome guys! Thank you very much. I did everything you guys told me and installed all those new spyware removal programs (CCleaner was amazing) and it fixed my computer. It found a few trojan viruses which I think were the cause. My computers also going a lot faster now all thanks to you. Heres my new log even though I think its okay now. Thanks again.

If it found some trojan viruses then next thing you need to do is get a decent virus scanner.
