Hello I am thinking of buying an Asus eah3650 Silent Magic video card. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with this card and could tell me if it's a good choice?
I intend to game and use design software on it.

Not for gaming. you'd want an 48xx card.
wipe your paws.
You reckon 3650 chipset is not good for gaming? 48 series is a little out of my price range. 3850 is probably for me. Or my friend says nVidia 8800.
The cheapest 8800GT is only $60 cheaper than the cheapest 4850 on pricespy... If it were me I'd go for a bit extra.
I have a 512mb ASUS EN8600GT Silent in a machine here & although only 540Mhz it has been running 'sweet as' with COD4, Crysis, video prod work (Avid Liquid & Prem Pro)etc. Doesn't seem to run too hot either. I think from memory it was only about $125. (@1680 x 1050 px)

Ok thanks I have been looking at a silent asus 9600gt card which looks pretty damn good for $220.
That 86GT would definitely struggle @ that resolution!, there isnt much room at that res with my 96GT...

Would the 86GT run 3DSMAX 2009 ok? I like playing around with demanding software. I think in games 1280x1024 would be perfectly fine for me as I currently run all my games at 800x600. The nVidia mx440 is a little dated now.
Anything would be better than MX440, however $30 diff between std 8600GT and 9600GT, I would get the 9600GT
