    Default Explorer Fault

I get this error message 'Explorer caused an invalid page fault in module <unknown> at d086:016d49e0 .This happens when I select Start.Settings.Control Panel or Start.Programes.Accesories.Control Panel. Explore works ok otherwise. This means I can not access the Control Panel.

Try bypassing the Control Panel and running the applet you want directly.

Search your drive for *.CPL files. Most of them hint at their function. (e.g.)modem.cpl
Click 'Start, Run', type in 'Control modem.cpl' with no quotes, press enter.
