It seems quite quick - but the customisability of it (no ad-blocking - probably a no-no since that's where Google makes its money -, fonts, spell-checking dictionaries) is pretty basic. And more than half the YouTube videos of the features are "no longer available"...

Interesting to play with, but I think I'll stick to Firefox in the meantime.

It does appear faster and good that the keyboard shortcuts are the same as IE. Makes transition seamless.

I just noticed it has the red squiggly line under spelling mistakes that MS has in word. Not sure if I can stand that but I am sure there is a setting to remove it - somewhere.

Yep, although it looks nice, no Ad-Blocking has put me right off it.

Maybe thats why its fast - no features that most of the others have - But in fairness it is still Beta - so those features may be added in future versions.

Helps if you read the Help eh! To change the spell check language --

    Click the Tools menu .
    Select Options.
    Click the Minor Tweaks tab.
Click the Change font and language settings button.
In the 'Fonts and Languages' dialog box, click the Languages tab.
Select your preference in the the 'Spell-checker language' drop-down menu.
Click the OK button for the 'Fonts and Languages' dialog box.
Click the Close button for the 'Google Chrome Options' dialog box.

Now I know what a memory leak is...and this CHROME is supposed to NOT have it by returning all the used memory back to the OPSYS when you close a tab...that's nice.

But it looks TOO much like IE for me.

And it completely zortched my GTalk, GMail and I can't find them again..Oh...I CAN get GMail, but only in the Basic HTML-version now.

I cannot even FIND Chrome in the Add/Delete Programs area...it's gone and buried itself...somewhere!

I guess like the Yahoo! Slurpspiders, Google has "CHROME-BOTS" to sniff out troubles in the web.

    We'll see

The Virtual Javascript thing is kinda nice...but I think this is moving toward an OPSYS on the Web...kinda like a WEBSYS....right?

    There was always Google Desktop........

Think I'll stick with Firefox - does everything I want, and doesn't do anything I don't want.

Non-system disk or disk error. Replace and strike any key when ready.
