    Default Clock returns to 00.00

When windows 95 shuts down the clock on the taskbar reverts to 00.00 - whilst on the computer the clock does work but after shut down it seems to revert to 00.00. Is this a system problem or a battery problem? Guidance appreciated.

The first thing to check would be your CMOS battery, this retains the settings for your hardware such as hard disk size and your internal clock while the system is off. These batteries can last between 3 - 5 years depending on the type of battery. Replacing this battery should fix your problem.
