    "A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing" applies very well to Mugabe.

    I grew up in the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland and can give some background on this.

    The British government hoped to create a buffer zone of black intellectuals who had been educated in the best schools and universities in England. They would come back to their home countries and spread the word on how superior the English way of life was and that it would take time to get the African colonies up to speed. Unfortunately they came back with their eyes opened about how the working classes in England were exploited by the ruling classes and proceeded to do the same thing in their own countries.

    Obviously this is a very short version but is close to the unpalatable truth which the British politicians and others (I'm looking at you NZ) don't want to take on board.

    Predictions for the future?????

    South Africa will go the same way, just a matter of time.
