    Default CD/DVD surface test

    Does anyone know of any good tools to do a surface test?. im not 100% sure if my dvd-rw disk has had it?
    * i7 930 & Corsair H70 Hydro Cooling
    * Asus P6X58D Premium
    * 3 x 2GB DDR3-1600
    * 1X 1 TB, SATA 6 Gb/s + 1X SG 320 Sata 3 GB/s
    * Unknown SATA DVD/RW
    * Corsair 850W PSU
    * Asus 1GB EAH5850
    * Windows 7 64Bit
    * MS Security Essential

    Get nero CD-DVD speed from and run the "scandisc" test, that's probably the best you're going to get...

    I do find though that sometimes after several rewrites a disc can go a bit funny... a full reformat usually fixes the problem (instead of quick erase)
    Non-system disk or disk error. Replace and strike any key when ready.

    If you need to repair surface scuff, scratches and corrupt files, then try the free cd recovery toolbox...
