    Default Office97 & Office2000

We have Office2000 on C: drive on this pc.

Can Office97 be put on D: without any conflict.

I prefer Office97 as it seems more stable than 2000.

Running Win98SE! also prefered to XP Pro.

    Lurking.

You can run them both at the same time (I think the office 2000 installer allows it), but they will forever conflict with each other.

One prob I found when I did this was that each time you opened an Office app it would try and 'repair' the install, because the other one had overwritten some of it's settings (eg file associations).

    So not recommended!!

jwil1, thanks for that. Will watch my step.

Trying to help daughter with her Thesis in Microbiolgy and things aren't performing well.

Think Polytechnic might have a different ver of 2000.

    Lurks.
