    Default You voted for it.

Just been reading the above in PCW.

Are we supposed to believe that nonsense.
HP the most popular PC in the country
    Dell second choice.

Who did the voting? Everyone who works for HP I suppose.

I can understand how they could be popular for a first computer for a newbie. But overall favourite for a mome PC. Words fail me. No windows CD. Propriety parts. Warranty void if you dare to look inside the case. BULL....!

Reminds me of the days when PCW tried to tell us that PCDirect made the most popular computers in the world in NZ.

A respectable mag should know better than to print that sort of nonsense.

popular does not equal good, and HP is certainly one of the more popular brands in NZ, when it comes down to numbers.

That was a bit harsh Jack!

I would tend to agree with those stats.

95% of 'non-geek' people don't want to go and build a computer and get the best value for $ - they just want "a computer".

So they go down to DSE's or a toaster shop and buy - you guessed it - a HP.

Or if they want to customise it a bit they get a dell.

I agree with above. When you get Noel Leeming and the likes selling computers like HP and they can be put on the never never what do you expect.
    Intel i5-2500K 3.3GHz Quad Core, Asus P8Z 68-V LE MB, GTX 560 TI 1GB DDR5 graphics card, Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, 8gb Corsair Vengeance DDR3 ram , Viewsonic VX2233WM LCD 1080P HD Monitor. Seagate Barracuda 1 TB 64MB Sata3 HD

Another thing - the survey is skewed for it.

Where does it list Custom Built in the choices? Or even Other?

I got asked for permission to use my comments - but as my comments are all geared towards stuff they don't even list, they didn't bother - just went and found people who love that sort of thing.

My thoughts exactly - Bit like asking a question with two possible answers - Both YES.

So whats the most popular Computer - Select one.
    1. HP
    2. HP
    3. HP
    4. Compaq

I gave permission to use my comments but I can bet they wouldn't get used - WHY - because I didn't say HP.
