Default Open Office & Microsoft Mouse

    Hi There

    OS:Vista 64 Home Premium.
Recently downloaded the latest OpenOffice suite. However, the Microsoft wireless mouse doesn't work for scrolling unless I click on the bar and pull. Is this easy to fix? Thanks.

Just been reading so me fixes, one that comes up a lot is make sure you have the latest drivers for your mouse, they may be out of date, go to Microsofts driver downloads and locate the mouse/driver and install that.

Others have said it also can be java playing up, look for Speedy's sig in the postings, he has links to the latest Java.

Update to above - just been doing some reading on this and it appears that the Java and MS wireless drivers are not talking to one another correctly.

It was the Java causing the problem most of the time, and sometimes rolling back 1 version of the intellipoint drivers also fixed it BUT this was back on august 07, so hopefully with the new drivers and latest Java it will fix the problem.
