    Default External HDD

Planning to get an external HDD and this WD 500GB USB2.0 7200rpm 16MB Cache External looks OK to me. Your comments, please.

Can the HDD be easily take out and put in another HDD into the USB "case" should the need arises?

Well I don't think the HDD is supposed to come out of the case but I suppose if you really wanted to, you could. But you would void your warranty if you did.
All the technology and software in the universe is useless when the end user has the IQ of a sack of hammers.

I have the forerunner version and you can't open the case to change the HDD, without to damage the case.
