    Default New install boot order

I intend to do a new clean install on my linux box which has 3 HDD's.I want to change my present slave drive to be the new boot disk and so would it be best to swap the present boot disk and the slave then start again or just to make the slave the boot disk in the bios.
Also anything to watch for when I do the change with the reformatted disks.

If your using ATA drives just change the jumpers master/slave over.
If your using Sata then it should not matter, just change the boot order.

Linux will install on any drive you choose. You can partition and format linux and swap on any drive at the time you install.
