    Default Word 2000 Date Problem

I need to reprint a letter from a week ago and retain it's original date, but each time I go to print it out it automatically updates the date to today date just before printing, this happens no matter where you give the print command from, where do I turn this feature off?

I would guess that your date is a field in your letter template, which automatically updates when you print. In Tools/Options/Print make sure 'update fields' is unchecked. Another easy solution is to mark the complete date and delete it then type the original date again. This should have deleted the field and fixed the problem.

    Good luck
