    Default Best NZ group

Who is your favourite NZ group or singer or song writer?

Just curious as Im pretty bias in my music choice (mainly rock & metal), Im helping a friend with his study at uni about the NZ music industry (or the lack of it). So Im guessing we have a good mix of generations here.

Btw mine is Chuganaut or Shihad or Sticky Filth or Tension or 8 Foot Sativa etc

There were quite a few bands I like that had one song I liked (e.g DD Smash, Ardijah, Shona Laing, Hello Sailor) but the 2 more favourite groups (where I liked more than just one or 2 songs) would be Split Enz, and Supergroove

I'd say the NZ music industry is alive and well, and has been for quite a while.

Can't say I've got a favourite NZ band, but Hello Sailor and Th' Dudes are up there (and more recently started to enjoy Golden Horse).
Bugger the cancer. I'm suffering from terminal inertia.

Maybe I should of said there are alot of talented bands etc, but the industry is itself is in shocking need of a boot in the backside. The promoters are shocking and our tendency to be a cheap american ripoff (Idol etc) is embarressing.

Elemeno P. The Feelers is quite good. Pluto.

Definitely NOT the mint chicks. The lead singer has the voice of a girly teen whose voice is starting to break, and their tunes and drum works sounds like my neighbours' annoying mechanical work at 1 am in the morning.
    Meh....
