    Default XPCOM:Event Receiver

What is this XPCOM: Event Receiver? Every time when I shut down my laptop (only happens to one of the user accounts), this pop up window appears and I have to end it manually and it takes about a minute to end it manually. Made a google search and it seems that it has something to do with Firefox.

My laptop is running XP Media Centre edition with all the latest updates. Is there a fix for this problem?

Perhaps you could try disabling a few plugins a time to see which one is causing an issues or simply re-install FF and start from scratch.
All the technology and software in the universe is useless when the end user has the IQ of a sack of hammers.

FireFox has some new features when you start it in safe mode, you should try that and see.
