The above tips actually work really well. I've been using them for about 6 months now and you can see a difference in speeds.

I just tried them again today and I am noticing the difference already. I used them some time ago.

I recommend you download this (TCP Optimizer) http://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php then click on "optimal settings" then "apply changes" then OK then reboot. Your connection should be sweet but test here best place I have found for true measurement) http://www.bandwidthplace.com/speedtest/
I find after reinstalling programs, etc I lose speed, this corrects everything, infact I use monthly to ensure I am getting the best speed.

was the speed drop immediate? perhaps your upgrade co-incided with something stuffing up you bb connection. 67 sounds like you've been capped, what speeds were you getting prior?

does your router/modem give you a connection speed or are you using an online speedtest or network monitor? (i understand this is an internal modem)

When it comes to computers there is a difference to what you need and what you want, the former being less than half the price of the latter.
