    Default Hidden Recovery Partition

Is there a way to access & edit the hidden Recovery Partition created by some laptop /desktop manufacturers so that we can add more information (installed programs) to it?

Or, how to create our own recovery partition? Is it going to be very difficult?

Err I dont think it was made to add programs to it.

It was made to restore a system back to its original setup. If someone drastic happens.

Altho on some systems? Cant u back whatever to cd or dvd??

Altho, even if u could, I dont think it'll be that easy to add programs to it,

Wouldn't it be some kind of image?

And I doubt you could add programs that were already installed to it, the program would have to be in its original format (the setup/install file).

Should have also mentioned, it maybe possible to add drivers (for devices you use), to the recovery partition if u can back it up to cd or dvd.

Altho, I've never had a system with a hidden partition on it.

And good luck trying to get into it normally! I dont think its that easy.

Use partition softwares like Norton partition magic to unhidden partition. I use norton ghost and partition magic to partition and create image for backup. I also burn it to a dvd.

It's probably possible to add files to such a partition. However, it might start to get complicated when you try to get applications loaded automatically. The recovery process will start an installation programme, which would normally access a data file which will tell it what to load, and where. That might be a text file. It might not be in a compressed "cabinet" style file. ...

You will have to have a good look at all the files and their contents.

It is likely to be easier to use one of the "ghost" style imaging utilities.

who made the PC? take that and google for their recovery partition methods and possible customising.. you'll *probably* find something
Non-system disk or disk error. Replace and strike any key when ready.
