Note that you will need a 240v one - the one you linked to is only ~115v (American voltage).

Well, maybe here, it is a local site and seems to measure quite a few things. Whether it is what you need is a moot point.

Otherwise Dick Smiths used to sell a similar device, but I can't for the life of me remember what they called it.

I checked the US version...it's a joke....
What most US citizens don't know is that the fee charged for the usage is computed on the PEAK AMPS drawn for a 24-hour period.
If you have your refrigerator, air conditioner and a large electric motor all start at the same moment (it happens!)..then you get your rate computed at that usage value for the next 24 hours.
Having a usage meter on any one appliance is useless...it cannot "see" the whole home and any current values and prices it then posts are not accurate.

Where can i download a desktop temperature gauge to tell me how hot my pc is.
I have run this one in the past...the site itself is reputable and they make a very good case for keeping out spyware and malware.
This is not a guarantee..but like I said, I have not had a problem with them....

The aussie magazine Silicon Chip had an article about a kit which you buy. I just had a look at the Jaycar website but can't find it there.

Interesting. That's not the way we do it here - in New Zealand, every home has a Kilowatt-hour meter at the entry point to the house, and the meter is checked by the power company every couple of months or so. That way you pay for exactly what you use - no more, no less.I checked the US version...it's a joke....
