    Default passwords

I would like to have Win 98 running, unfortunately I have forgotten the password to enter the Windows setup. Is there a way I can bypass or cancel my password. I can enter Dos using a startup floppy. Can I change the A drive prompt to C drive prompt, if so how, and would this allow me to enter the Windows programme.
    Thanks
    Eddie

Can u get into Windows in safe mode ?

I think 98 has safe mode. Or click on cancel / the ESC key.

Then search for *.pwl. Delete the file that comes up. I can't remember if there's more than one pwl file.

This is the password. Then you should be able to create/make another password.

    Just press the Esc key.
