    Default Burt Munro Racing Weekend

Wyndham has the street races today. Its packed.
One accident so far - not major.

Everything from old 1920s bikes to Harleys to Motocross bikes (But street racing them) to Formula bikes.

Rather than post links to my amateur videos, the pros were out filming everything so no doubt there will be better clips to view.

You should have come on your bike WInston! Even if it was just for the display area.

And what a great day it was too - especially the tour of Pctek's house and garden! I confess driving rather than riding to the race day but had my 11yr old son along. Haven't seen motorcycle street racing before - dangerous and thrilling stuff.

The Bert Munro Rally weekend was an enormous success with about 2500 motorcyclists from all over NZ.

"And why would I be wanting two empty glasses?" replied O'Flaherty.

pctek: you live in wyndham? cool i live out in glenham - 10-11km away - nothing much in glenham except 3 count it THREE working streetlights so yeah a bike race in my area is well worth watching

Cool! My husband loves Glenham. If we didn't live here already he'd move.
And there is the famous garden place so I've been told a thousand times. Will go up sometime.

yeah it is a nice place - its a shame that the tar seal on my road (stout Road) only goes about 150 Meters and the rest is gravel that gets my car all dirty ah well you cant have it all

Its the cow **** that makes it dirty. Mines always filthy and all our roads are tarsealed.
