outlook express send mail but outlook wont

hi there, im having trouble getting outlook to send mail, it receives OK, but wont send, i have outlook express on the computer that works fine, send and receives OK, so i dont think nortons or zone alarm are to blame, and i have the exact same settings for severs/passwords etc in both programs, any other ideas of what it might be please, i dont really want to use outlook express, but it's the only way of sending mail and is obviously very annoying.

win XP (sp2)
norton anti virus 2006
zone alarm 6.5.737.000
outlook 2002
outlook express 6.0

What error does Outlook give you?
Are you sure you have the settings correct? Check for typos - commas instead of full stops etc...

thought of that, but it receives fine, just wont send any mail, setting for express and outlook are exactly the same............ error message is.....

if I try immediately with outlook express the messages send OK, zone alarm settings for outlook and express are identical as well............
