Interesting. I get a similar speed jump changing from a nokia M1122 (~2600) to a D-Link 502T (~4800). What do the D-Links have that the others don't, because I _know_ that the nokia can do fullspeed easily. Or rather, what is the difference in default settings?

I'm sticking with the nokia though - I'd rather have reliable internet that doesn't crash.

It is well knowen that electricity travels faster down super cooled copper wire. So I would expect broadband to be 'extra' fast down in the super cooled south. PK

My firsd b/b modem was a DSE usb adsl modem.

My third mdem was a Billion router Modem. This was literally twice as fast as the DSE one.

Second one was a Belkin. I called it lazy. Only worked when it felt like it.

    Well.......the 502T is ADSL2 capable. And ADSL2+.

    My Speedtouch wasn't.

Although our current "full speed" isn't ADSL 2 anyway.....

I thought the SNR difference was interesting though.....
