Default Buying 2nd hand computer, what is it worth?

Hi could someone give me a rough estimate what it is worth as im looking at buying this but unsure what to offer. He says around $1200 but i have a feeling it sounds too much.

Black/ Silver ATX case with 450 psu - NEW $85 he told me
    ASUS A8N32- SLI Deluxe Mobo
    AMD 4200+ X2
    7800GT 256Mb
    1Gb ADATA DDR400
250Gb Maxtor SATA HDD - NEW
    Samsung 16X +/- DVDRW

I dont know very much about what second hand computers fetch nowadays so if someone would please help out a poor bugger here it would be very much appreciated.

    Wow, same name!

Yes, this would be $2500 + brand new.

    No monitor/keyboard/mouse or any extras.
No OS either, just a pc ready to go when i plug my existing hdd in & add my existing monitor.
    Onboard sound is cool... lol

    Any ideas? Cheers

If it is very new, in good condition, $1200 is not expensive (save 30-40% or so compared to buying brand new).

    The RAM can be faster.

$1200 definitly sounds too much. 700 - 800 is more realistic.
Bugger the cancer. I'm suffering from terminal inertia.
