    Default amps - which ampage on transformer

    Hi

    Im looking at a transformer here - its says 15v ~ 2,67A 40VA

    Is the output 2.67A of 40VA?

    That transformer gives 15 V AC, as indicated by the tilde "~".
    ).
    The current rating is 2.67 amps. Its power rating is 40 VA ("voltamperes)". "VA"s are not always equal to "watts" in AC devices ... that one is suspiciously close .

    I want to use the transformer to power something else that needs 1.25 amps. Will this be ok?

    No problem. That is about half the capacity of the transformer. As long as the "something else" requires AC.
