    Default Power Supply Question

A motherboard I am looking at requires a 24 pin ATX power connector.

The PSU with a case I am interested in has a "420W ATX V2.0 Power Supply (20+4pin Design)...".

Am I correct in thinking this is a 20 pin plug with the breakaway 4 pins, so that it can be used in a 20 or 24 pin motherboard?

Any other pearls of wisdom re power supplies welcome.

    Thanks

    Yes, you are correct.
Make sure it is a quality PSU though, some bundled with cases aren't. You need to look at how may amps on the 12v as well as watts.
Enermax is a good PSU brand. Reliable.
This is extremely important as you are connecting all your other hardware to it, if it fails cheap ones have a nasty habit of taking out your components with it.
