    Default Broadband, Ethernet or USB?

Hi, What is the best connection from external router to computer? I have been told conflicting info.

Second vote for ethernet. USB is a poor substitute if you have the choice.

a lot pf USB modems are software modems. ethernet are all hardware modems. also USB can have some quirks which makes it unreliable.

    Sidebar here:

In the US, we are experiencing a rash of instability problems with WIFI on DSL.

The problem seems to be the vast numbers of people using WIFI...they crowd each other out and drop the connections all the time. Security is NOT the problem although it might be causing it.

Hardwire seems to be the real answer...and even the speeds are not up to par as far as wireless goes..it's like deja vu on dial-up all over again!

What's the use of wireless crippling you back to old technology anyway?

Ethernet ... does it for me. Besides I'm more than 5m away from my ADSL router.
