    Angry USB not recognised

ok well.. usb is not recognised by my computer anymore, i've tried a heap but nothing works i looked around on google and found some people were having the same prob but most of them tell me to turn of the auto powersupply off.

this means i can tranfer files to my usb and i cant charge my mp3(not good)

the mp3 and usb work perfectly on other computers so i know it's the computers problem. what happens is when i plug them inthe yellowish bubble pops up and says USB device not recognised

    ok so i've tried:
    restarting
    system restore
    trouble shooting
turning the auto power supply off

    and nothing works

oh yeah something really wierd is that when i go to the device manager and before i plug the usb/mp3 in, there are originally 9 usb controllers and when i plug the usb in there are 10 and one of them is the "Unknown Device"

Get this program, EVEREST Home Edition 2.20:

    http://www.aplusfreeware.com/categor...l/optdiag.html

When you get it running, go to Computer, left click on the plus sign then left click on Summary and right click the summary window and copy all, paste into your text editor and post the result here please.

It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche

Reload the main chipset drivers for the motherboard.
Reboot twice (don't ask why, I don't know but its sometimes needed!)
