    No, it actually set some standards in computer hardware and softwatre development.

    It cost 8 times the budgeted amount.
    It took 5 times longer than planned to build.

    Ever after, large projects are delivered by the "2 out of 3" rule: "Do you want it on budget, on time, to work? Pick any two".

    Interesting but Colossus, developed by the British at Bletchley Park to break the German enciphered Teleprinter traffic is 62 years old this month.
