Delete the email ASAP! It is almost definitely 'phishing'.

    Definition located at Wikipedia

You would most definitely be sent an email containing an address which would lead to a fake site.

This is one reason I have very long email addresses.

Definitely phishing. I frequently get emails from Comcast and various other organisations that invite me to try out their "products" or update my account.

    Cheers

Yer, I got 3 from Commonwealth bank Oz last week, and 3 from Westpac this week lol.

I just blacklisted both of them.

No point in sending it to me anyway, I'm not with either of them.

When a company sends you an email asking you to try there product.. thats spam. They have harvested your addy from someones legit list and sent you an email hoping you will respond and of course buy.

For them to ask you to update a non-existant account, thats phishing

dvk77: If you have an account with Ebay, go to there site to update. DO NOT click on the emailed link
