    Default Backup Hard drive not recognised?

    hey guys im having a problem with windows detecting my hard drive, im about to do a full format and reinstall on my 40gb hard drive, i have pluged in a 3.2gb hard drive to back up my photos and my mac os partition, the only problem is windows is not detecting my 3.2 gb, i have installed it properly, its slave my other is master, i have set it up in the bios and it detects it on boot, how can i make windows recognise it, and help before christmas eve would be really apreciated.

    Has it been formatted? Does it show in the disk manager?

    it had windows xp on it so i used fdisk to delete the primary partiton and format c: to format it from dos

    and where do i find disk manager?

    Right click on My Computer and go to Manage, then Disk Management (under Storage). You can check the health/capacity etc of your HDD's and format from there if you need to.

    it says : healthy (eisa configuration) but its formatted as fat32 not ntfs how do i reformat it as ntfs? it also says it only has 700mb free space, im guessing that my earlyer format didnt work?

    i have just realised that what i was jest refering to was a partition of my 40gb, its a recovery partition, so no i can NOT see the smaller hardrive in disk managment
