amazing you got one to fit ! tho dos it fit the right way up? i have one here where the psu fits in UPSIDE DOWN.

will the cables fit ones the psu is installed?

check for any non-standard plugs on the old psu, hp had a few with werid power plugs.
    Tweak it till it breaks

a bigger psu dosn't send "extra" power to a motherboard. it just means there is power advailable IF it needs it.
