Default CD drive not start on loading

When I put a cd into the drive and close the tray, the computer does not run the software or music. By going into windows explorer I can start whatever is on the CD. Is there a way of resetting the computer to automatically start whatever is on the CD. Thanks John

See if autorun is on for the cd.

What version of Windows, are you using?

Right mouse on the cdrom icon / properties / autoplay tab.

Select an option, see what happens.
