    Default Mouse wheel problem

Hello, Im new here. Im having some mouse problems, when i press the wheel of my mouse it works. But if i try to scroll anywhere it wont scroll, it is very frustrating because ive grown adapted to the scrolling. The mouse does not have a brand came with computer, but it is a model SAGM002.

    Any help would be appreciated.

That was a fairly abrupt reply to a new member, Jack.

    Welcome to PressF1, cdhotfire.

But Jack's suggestion is probably the realistic "fix". Mice are so cheap that it's not really worthwhile to spend time trying to repair them. In the days when a "cheap" 2 button mouse was $50 it might have been.

If you Google SAGM002 there appears to be 2 possible Makers(?) names
    sysgration and NewGen
plus there are forums reporting problems obtaining drivers.
You don't say what Operating System you have or how old the mouse is. Suspect your problem is mechanical failure with old age, as suggested buy a new one, preferably optical with PS2 and USB connections (providing you have USB).

I wouldn't be so quick to throw it out...
My flatmates mouse encountered the same problem, all I did was unscrew the base, and re-align the wheel so it moved the cog thingy. Good as new.

Some mouses need drivers to be installed to work properly, if it came with a CD have a gander at whats on it...
