    Default XP Blue screen of driver death

    go here and see. thats what it says after it crashes to a blue screen and restarts. Im not sure whats wrong but it happened after i got my
    512mb ddr 400 ram and geforce 6600GT.

    And where did u get the drivers from, if u think the drivers are crashing the system?

    From Nvidia or the windowsupdate site?

    one possibility is a ram conflict pull the new ram out or the old ram if it's still in there and see what happens

    i use the newest non beta from nvidia, it has different names each time like

    PF blah blah
    less_or_not_equal etc.. i do have ram issues
    my brothers ram in my wont even start on boot :S

    Dont use beta drivers when trouble-shooting.

    Give the whole ** Stop error message, including addressing (0x000000whatever,), then we might be able to help.

    Ram might well be your answer, but there are any number of other things it could be from drivers, .dll to hardware.

    Look in Event Viewer, under System and Applications (probably under apps), it'll have the error message there.

    Can you boot up into safe mode with no issues? If not then you likely have a hardware issue (possibly ram). If Safe mode is ok then its likely a driver. Try uninstalling/rolling back one at a time to narrow it down.

    Supposition until you have the full error mesaage. Then you can start the trial and error with the most likely suspects first in line.
