Default Trying to watch video, "Visual C++ Runtime Library" errors being returned

I just downloaded a video and however I try to play it in any media player (I tried MPC, WMP10, WA5 and QT7), it always returns this error message "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library - Runtime Error!". I opened the file in GSpot and clicked render, and this error message was returned. I had a quick Google but couldnt find any answers. I watch tons of videos in all sorts of formats and have never had this error retuned in any other way. Help?

I use WinXP sp2 with neccessary codecs installed.

give vlc a try, although it probably wont solve the problem, but you will have one more media player installed

Search microsoft's site for the runtime library files. Not hard to find.

Yeah, and I'm the one who posted it, lol. Not exactly the dark ages, I would say that was back on the Java board.
