You might try Darren Holyoake (not sure if correct Spelling) XYZ pcs BUT he charges $40 an hour.
Or just a pc shop

My brother is stuffing up his 200Gb hdd install. Doesn't matter now hes couriering it to me.

Well the drive was stuffed. It read 33.8Gb in 3 different PC Bios's. 4 including the suppliers, haha. Replaced it.
Its only the 2nd Seagate I have ever had been faulty, and funnily both of them belonged to the same person.

Hmm.. same PC? or same location? I had a MBD that would kill any HDD over a period of time, and knew a guy that insisted on sticking notes on the side of his PC case with a magnet.Originally Posted by pctek

Hehe, different MBs. Nah hes my brother - he knows better than to do things like that! But it was an interesting co-incidence. But the first got errors, bad blocks and is now making hideous noises. The second was the size thing, so probably was a fault at manufacturing.Originally Posted by qyiet

Put a few hdd's in overthe time. All fixed now. replaced hdd.![]()
