    Default Configfree on non Toshiba notebooks?

    Toshiba is installing a program Configfree on their WiFi enabled notebooks, to simplify wireless and wired connectivity. it is available for download...does anyone know if this can be installed on WiFi enabled Notebooks OTHER than Toshiba's??
    I didn't want to install it and risk upsetting my present setting!!

    configfree is good, but does not work on other brands (Toshiba only, then its also model dependant as well). I tried to install it my compaq < insert sad face here >, We use Toshiba lappies here at work.

    REGEDIT
    Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE->TOSHIBA
    Locate the "Instcheck"
    Set value to a toshiba laptop model i.e. "Satellite 5205"
    Worked for me on my sony

    Had it on my Toshiba lappy till I uninstalled it.

    Didn't need it as configured wireless network myself, so it was just another thing bloating the hard drive.
