    Default Thunderbird startup problem

I have been using tbird for a while now but since yesterday it doesn't start in the Inbox folder. The right hand panels are blank and there is no focus on any folder. I have looked and searched for an answer but with no luck. It's not a real biggie but it should start in a pre-determined folder. Anyone seen this (and found an answer!)?

    TIA.

Right hand panels? You mean the list of where it normally has:
    Inbox
    Drafts
    Sent
    Trash
    etc etc?
I've had Mozilla do that but exiting and restarting it cures it.

If you want Thunderbird to open directly in your Inbox when you launch the application, go to "Tools -> Account Settings -> Server Settings" and check the box that says "Check for new messages at startup."

Sorry, for some reason that last link doesn't seem to work. If you go to this link https://addons.update.mozilla.org/ex...pg=10&pageid=3
and scroll down to Folderpane tools that's what you want. The other link was to the designer's web page as they have just released an updated version.

Safari, you are a champ! Thanks, mate. I feel slightly foolish as I don't know how I switched that checkbox off. All as before, now!!
    Cheers.
