Question Online Photo Storage / Albums

    Hi,

I want to start an online photo album, where my friends and myself can upload our pics, and access them from any computer.

Most importantly....it has to be FREEEEEE. Coz I don't have a credit card.

So far the best thing I have seen is webshots, but I have heard that their software is riddled with spyware. I would also prefer something local.

    Any recommendations?

It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche

Just signed up for Flickr and uploaded some pictures. It's not that bad, just that you can only download 1024*768 pictures, nothing higher.

    Cheers

Using the flickr uploadr app makes it a lot sweeter too. Also they only serve up limited sized images, but originals remain on the server incase you go pro (I have every intent to do so very soon). You can easily view your 'higher quality' photos though via greasemonkey + flickr scripts.

Doesnt your isp provide you with personal webspace?

Usually it only a miniscule 10 megs but its free. Only you have to build the html part yourself, in which case you can get some free HTML editors or try using the one in the Mozilla Suite.

Could you explain to me in a more in-depth fashion on how to use both tools? :@@:
