Woosh saved me from dialup hell, then put me into another hell. My woosh speed is now dropped to 32kb, and I have to use it for the rest of month. I called woosh, they said 32kb is dialup speed. What a nightmare !

It is clearly stated in their terms and conditions that if you exceed a certain data amount within a month you will be dropped down to 32kb. If you don't want that to happen, down download so much. You will have agreed to this cap when you signed up with them.Originally Posted by davidakl

a) Download less or
b) Change plans
You get what you pay![]()
is that 32k/bit per sec? that's slower than dialup. what was your cap?
The ad says, the speed will be dropped down to dialup speed(56kb-64kb per sec ). And doesn't say 32kb per sec , otherwise no one will join woosh. Fair Trade ?
My cap is 1GB
The dialup I used before was 56-64kbit per sec, and I never complained. 32kbit per sec is a worse hell for net surfer. Before you join woosh, just be careful !
same thing happened to me, they just tell me to change to higher price plan. What a trick !
do you have a good signal?
a lot of woosh customers are having a few problems with its service, especially here in the rural part of southland, apparently customers have noticed that you need line of sight to the tower, otherwise it is crap.
What's the point in signing up to a 1GB plan on a so-called broadband connection. It's insane paying for something you know you would barely be able to use. Even if you consider yourself to be a very light user, just leaving the connection idle will eat up a fair chunk of the 1GB. Alot of people don't realise this and get sucked into these money-for-nothing plans. I suppose you're now on a minumum 6 - 12 month term and have already forked out a small fortune for the modem which will probably be useless in the near future.Originally Posted by davidakl

You can do far more GB on dialup for a lower price.
