why didnt you just use the heatsink providied with the cpu the factory ones are perfect for cooling them becuase they are designed for the specific processors, heat output must be compensated with equivelant heat sink "fans" and length. The only other cooler i would strongly recomend would be the zalman copper flower, very very good product

i dont usually post replies to here as im an aussie that usually reads and gains knowledge through here. but theres one thing you havent meantioned in your posts , have you applied heat sinc glue/paste to the cpu (or do you have a pad) as amd cpus tend to overheat alot.
if you havent then i suggest you go and get some (costs 5-10$ AU) and apply it asap before you do damage to the cpu

    LOL McDonalds is everywhere!

The Set is custom built and it just so happened that the way i decided to buy the parts didn't include a cpu heatsink, it did include other case fans though.

The new heatsink is arriving wednesday so expect a post either (nz time -late thurs night probably) that is if youre following this post.

    Thx!

Ya i know its a NZ site but... apparently you guys are smarter? lol or just more willing to share information than us lame Americans.

    Hello,

Last year around this time i built a new computer out of parts from my old HP + some new components. I bought a 500 Watt powerfupply as well as a ABIT Nguru mobo as seen in that picture. About half the year later the NGuru processor fan that blue thing there started to make a whineing noise and then about september or november of 05 the year i built it it started to seemingly get bumped off its axis or something cuaseing it to slow down and stop sounding the processor fan alarm. I was wondering if any of you had heard anything about this problem maybe a way to fix it ? I can hold a pen on it and it works fine and then all of a sudden it will just boom go back to the way it is saposed to be and all is well for another couple of days till it dose it again.
