    My computer ('98SE) has decided I am not allowed to move my desktop icons. I know there must be a simple answer, right?? GS

    Right click on you desk top and go to "arrange icons by" and then "align to grid"

    Tried, ther's no such thing under arrange icons. Sure yr. thinking about the right OS??

    I"ve got 98se (and no wish to go to XP) and that's how it works on this comp.

    Right click

    Arrange icons

    works for me

    Try unclicking "Auto Arrange" works for Win.ME

    Wo! Tried fiddling with arrange icins but all that happened was that icons began to flicker in and out, leaving little holes in wallpaper. Back to auto arrange and they all fled to the left side, and I still can't move 'em. I must say whosoever can solve this will appear godlike in my eyes. GS
