    Default Recovering NTFS Partitions

    I have just repartitioned a drive with 3 NTFS partions on it with the FDISK for WinME and i have lost all my partitions HELP
    I will be getting a new HDD soon that i can recover to

    Please refer to this thread.

    In future, NEVER attempt to repartition a drive that contains NTFS partitions using FDISK from Windows Me.

    so, if i'm hearing you right, win ME can't get the NTFS partitions?

    upgrade to XP. the NT family (NT 3.5, 4.0, 2000 and XP) support fat/16/13, however the 9x family (95, 98, 98SE and ME) only support fat/16/32

    I know it was a stupid idea i got the boot disk with a "special" copy of Windows Xp Pro

    so that is why Edward i used the ME Fdisk and it did recognise it but i deleted the primary partition and consequently lost the extended partition
